Rachel Murphy was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog Toto went through over the weekend. According to Rachel , a groomer allegedly taped Toto r's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Rachel recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."
The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Wow! My Dog, a mobile pet salon.
Rachel took Toto straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He has accused Wow! My Dog of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.
Rachel described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. The cuts were so severe that they caused bleeding."
Marianna De las Vegas, customer of Wow! My Dog posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. A Snapchat video captured by a customer showed a dog with obvious pain. He claimed that the groomer had forcedly inserted a towel into its ear.
Bad Review
Wow! My Dog wants its customers to understand what their groomer said to him. After all, they trusted this person with the care of their animals. Rachel shared, "Juliann informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
Gate animal abuse clipart News called Wow! My Dog and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Gate News that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
